” I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.”
John 16:12-14
Many of us have never realized what Christianity really is all about, it is to be regretted that many people are so obsessed with the idea of attending a building with a cross on top, singing some songs , hearing a preacher and giving an offering, putting on a uniform, being baptised in water and sometimes helping the poor; to them that is what defines Christianity. It is, however, possible to do all those things and not be a Christian. I used to go to church for so many years, but I was not a Christian and was not living the Christian life. To live a Christian life does not primarily mean to quit smoking if you used to smoke, No. It is sad that even preachers can get on the pulpit for years, write books , and even have large following without Christ being the fundamental subject of their preaching.
God intended that through Jesus Christ and by the Holy Spirit, he would fellowship with us. He intended to live with us and in us, making us more than conquerors. He planned that he would guide us, and we would know no darkness. He desires to guide us into all truth. In God’s plan, we are not to walk in confussion a single moment because there is one to guide us. We are to know things to come and not just bump into things blindly. No earthquake should come without us knowing. We shouldn’t just get ambushed in accidents, Jesus knew he was gonna die, when, where, and how. The LORD did not accidentally find himself on the cross. He knew it. Many people make the wrong choices in life because they don’t take advantage of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Now that we have the Holy Spirit, we are not to invest blindly. We can know what the markets will be like tomorrow if we learn to hear from him. Christianity is a walk with God. We can not walk with God in reality and be defeated in life. You can, however, attend a church every sunday but be defeated. There is a big difference. If you want to rule in life, you can not ignore the leading of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who can show you what to do to be a success. The Holy Ghost has more than enough ideas, more than enough wisdom and power to put you over in life. He can take you from the dust and make your life glorious. ” It is not by mighty nor by power but by my spirit, saith the LORD” Zech 4:6
Refuse to struggle. Take time to hear what ordinary men can’t hear. With the Holy Ghost, you are set for a glorious life. He is the energy that puts you over in every crisis. He will make your life so beautiful. Biblical Christianity is a real contact and fellowship with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. It’s not being religious or putting a sticker on your car that says ” Jesus is LORD”. There is a divine presence that makes miracles possible.
