Job Description
The Standards Officers will mainly provide standardization activities to UNBS stakeholders and the successful candidates shall be required to perform the following duties;
Develop, implement and enforce National Standards as guided by UNBS Act, regulations and procedures
Offer technical and scientific input in the planning and operations of UNBS standardization programmes
Conduct stakeholder analysis and incorporate requirements in the work programmes in consultation with the supervisors
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports Conduct any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors or management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The applicants should possess an Honours Degree in Engineering (Civil, Automotive, Petroleum, Mechanical and Electrical), Chemistry, Food Science and Technology and Physics qualifications from recognized University/Institutions
The applicants must be computer literate with skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet applications.
At least two years’ post-graduation experience
The successful candidates need to be team players, excellent communicators with good oral communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate must be presentable, a person of integrity, with good communication ability, a high level of professionalism and a team player.
