Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

1. A PhD in Business Management/Human Resource Management or a related field from a recognized institution of higher learning.

2. A Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field from a recognized institution of higher learning.

3. A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/ Industrial Psychology from a recognized institution of higher learning

4. Must have taught at university level for at least three years at the rank of Lecturer.

5. Must have two current scholarly article publications with a peer reviewed publisher in the area of academic expertise OR at least one article and two book chapters,
OR a book in one’s area of specialization with a peer reviewed publisher.

6. Must show outstanding skill and effectiveness in teaching and in research, and supervision of undergraduates.

7. Must be a mature and committed Christian

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. To teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level in areas allocated by the Dean of Faculty/Head of Department

2. To carry out research, teaching, mentoring, supervision and administration within the school.

3. To engage with the broader scholarly and professional communities.

4. To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.

5. To assist in the development of learning materials and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.

6. To supervise or assist with supervision of undergraduate and post- graduate students.

7. To participate in departmental and faculty seminars aimed at sharing research outcomes and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the
department.

8. To participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.

9. To provide mentorship, internship and support to students.

10. To provide student support in pastoral roles, counselling and career guidance.

11. To participate in the administration of the department’s programs of study and other activities as requested.
