Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
The PlayMatters Professional Report Writing will have Five primary tasks:
- Provide one-on-one coaching or group mentoring sessions as needed.
- Review and provide feedback on sample reports from partners.
- Develop a practical report writing guide/toolkit for ongoing reference.
- Submit a final consultancy report summarizing activities, outcomes, and recommendations.
- Conduct a rapid needs assessment to identify report writing gaps among consortium partners.
- Design and deliver tailored training sessions (virtual and in-person) on:
     1.) Structuring and organizing reports
     2.) Writing with clarity and purpose
     3.) Integrating data and evidence effectively
     4.) Adhering to donor and organizational reporting standards
 Deliverables:
- Training needs assessment report
- Customized training materials and facilitation plan
- Delivery of at least 2 training workshops
- Report writing guide/toolkit
- Final consultancy report
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
-  Master’s degree or Doctorate (PhD) in Management, Project Management, International Development, Policy Studies, or other related Social Sciences-Related discipline
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
- Â Minimum 10 years of experience in technical writing or report writing in the humanitarian or development sector.
- Â Proven experience in training and capacity building, preferably with NGOs or consortiums.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with donor reporting requirements (e.g., LEGO Foundation or UN agencies).
- Experience working in East Africa or with refugee-focused programs is an asset.
Language Skills:Â Strong writing skills (in English) and significant writing experience
