Job Description

The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for performing various tasks related to the packaging process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards. This role involves labelling, counting, verification, weighing, and packing of products to prepare them for shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Labelling: Apply labels accurately on products or packaging as per specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
Counting and Verification: Count items as required and verify counts against documentation to ensure accuracy.
Weighing: Use digital or manual scales to weigh products as needed and document weights as part of quality control.
Packing: Pack items in appropriate packaging, ensuring they are securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections to ensure that all packaging meets established standards and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
Documentation: Complete all required documentation accurately, including labelling records, weight logs, and packaging lists.
Safety and Compliance: Follow company safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to quality assurance standards.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and cleaning of equipment in the packaging area to ensure proper functioning and report issues to maintenance if necessary.
 Qualifications:

Degree, diploma, or equivalent in any related field
Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred but not mandatory. Training may be provided for entry-level candidates.
Basic math and counting skills for accuracy in packaging.
Ability to read and understand labels, instructions, and packing lists.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
Basic physical stamina; ability to stand, bend, and lift items as required by the job.
Basic familiarity with weighing equipment.
Basic computer skills for data entry and accessing production systems.
