The Church in pursuing its vision has experienced exponential growth in the past 40 years and currently comprises 17 Celebration Centers (Church campuses), 3 Children’s Villages, 2 Baby Homes, an FM radio station, farms and Schools. Watoto Christian International School is committed to raising Godly transformational leaders. Watoto Christian International School is seeking to recruit a Nurse to support with day-to-day clinical activities within Watoto Christian International School.
Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to).
Provide immediate care for injuries and illnesses that occur during school hours. Administer medications to students as prescribed by their healthcare providers and maintain accurate records.
. Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing necessary care and coordinating with the parents, school administration and emergency services when needed.
Maintain up-to-date health records for all students, including documentation of treatments and medications administered.
Educate students and staff on basic health practices, including hygiene and disease prevention. Work with teachers, counsellors, and other staff to support student health and well-being. Ensure compliance with government health regulations and school policies. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience.
The applicant for the role should hold at least a Diploma in Nursing from a reputable institution.
Must be a registered Nurse with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council. At least two years’ experience in nursing in a school setting.
Have a valid/current up-to-date practising license. Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to children, parents and guardians. Knowledge of basic computer software. Passionate about community health care with the ability to work effectively within a team
