Watoto Church and Childcare Ministries has experienced exponential growth in the past couple of years composed of multiple Celebration Centers (Campuses) and diverse Community care initiatives that include; Child Care, Community and Neighborhood, Education and FM Radio amongst others. In all of this, Watoto remains a local church, committed to celebrating Christ and caring for community.
Watoto is seeking to recruit a Nurse to support with day-to-day clinical activities within Baby Watoto, Suubi
Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to).
To participate in daily clinical rounds and perform daily nursing duties as allocated by the Nurse Supervisor, including but not limited to attending appointments and working with isolated babies.
To ensure that clinical issues are promptly resolved, prioritising on what is best for the health and well-being of the babies within the facility.
To ensure that Infections are identified and contained early, and clear instructions given about pertinent infection control.
To participate in infants’ feed calculations and nutritional management of those with malnutrition, under the guidance of the Nurse Supervisor.
To maintain an up-to-date medical record and provide Clinical updates regarding infants to the Nurse Supervisor.
To participate in health programmes within and outside Watoto as and when a need arises.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
. The applicant for the role should hold at least a Diploma in Nursing from a reputable institution.
Must be a registered Nurse with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
At least two years’ experience in nursing in a school setting. Have a current up-to-date practicing license and Knowledge of basic computer software.
Passionate about community health care with ability to work effectively within a team environment
and have excellent organizational and communication skills.
Commitment to working within standardized guidelines of Nursing care.
