Junior or Experienced Water or Solar Technician / Engineer at Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited Uganda, Kampala

Job Description

Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited UGANDA seeks to employ an experienced and
reliable Technician for its company in Kampala, Uganda. Prior experience is preferred.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Proficiency in English is also
required.
Your duties and responsibilities are listed below and you will report directly to the Senior
Technical Manager.

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Learn how to install and service the Company’s water purifiers with spare parts products,
namely carbon and sediment filters and UV lamps. Learn how to install our solar back
up power sets and solar systems. You will be trained by our experienced and talented
Senior Technical Manager.
• Keep track of the Company’s stock inventory together with the Senior Technical
Manager and the Office Manager each quarter. A physical count of all inventory will be
required twice a year, in May and in November.
• Work together with the CEO and Office Manager when ordering new products, spare
parts and other items from various suppliers. Provide various quotes for purchasing
necessary items to complete customer orders.
• Carry out the maintenance and repair of the Company’s the products – water purifiers,
solar-systems and back up power sets – in the field;
• Listen and convey related technical issues at customer sites to the Senior Technical
Manager as may be required from time to time;

Learn to calculate the COGS for all products – both water purification systems and
solar products;
• Prepare weekly report on customers visited and work done. Provide the Senior
Technical Manager, the Head Customer Service Representative, the Office Manager
and the CEO a copy of this report.
• Train customers and team members.
• Actively participate and contribute suggestions and ideas during the Company’s
weekly team meetings.
