Job Description

Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited Uganda seeks to employ a mature, experienced and selfmotivated team player with very good leadership skills as in-house Bookkeeper.
This is currently a part-time position to commence in early 2026, but it is expected to grow into
a full-time job if the candidate can illustrate excellent leadership skills, complete tasks quickly
and correctly, this role can be expanded into full-time employment with additional tasks and
responsibilities. And of course, with full-time compensation.
Your duties and responsibilities are listed below and you will report directly to the CEO/CFO and
owner

1. Establish and maintain detailed and accurate financial reports in Excel and QUICKBOOKS as
follows:
*Petty Cash – uses and sources
* Money collected from customer service appointments and sale of our genuine
spare parts via cash, EFT and/or cheque.
*Keep proper and accurate ledger – listing all invoices and receipts issued
All daily and weekly reports must be submitted on time. Every Monday by 11 am
2. Payroll – monthly – to be prepared by the CFO until March 2026.
3. Prepare filings for NSSF, PAYE and VAT and send them to CEO/COO before 11th of each
month
4. Set up QuickBooks accounts for 2026. Make sure you can prepare year-to-date P&L
statements and balance sheets when requested. This will be requested usually at the end
of each month.
5. Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements by the external

6. Coordinate Inventory Data / Stock levels with the Senior Technical Manager each quarter.
7. Work with the CEO with ordering supplies and inventory from suppliers and our favored
sources.
8. Review all monthly bank statements and proof for accuracy. (Please request bank
statements by email if CEO/CFO forgets to forward)
9. Review and work on Full Year Budget (2026) with CFO.
a. Prepare and adjust monthly and quarterly budgets
b. Pay attention to large operating costs and expenses, especially vehicles
expenses, fuel costs, transport costs, marketing & advertising expenses.
10. Participate in all meetings with external accountant when necessary and with GCEWL’s
auditor.
