About the role

The Head of Implementation (HOI) works closely with the Director of Implementation Success, the Regional Director of Enterprise Sales, the VP of Platform & Products, the Chief Operating Officer, Viamo’s Country Directors/Managers, and Viamo’s regional HOIs to deliver world-class & socially impactful projects across the globe! The HOI will provide overall leadership, management, and strategic vision for the implementation of enterprise contracts. HOI will support all regional hubs with an implementation that exceeds their capacity or knowledge expertise ensuring that the design, development, implementation, and review processes meet the required quality standards. The HOI will be the focal point for Viamo Country Managers/Directors to consult on all “Sell with Consultation ” products, including being a design thought partner, reviewing proposals, supporting budgets, joining pitch/design meetings, and reviewing contracts. The HOI will be the focal point for the Products department deployment/testing and launching of new products and features before scaling to the entire implementation team. Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Sales Implementation (35%)

Support the Commercial Sector team with business development including but not limited to demos (live & pre-recorded), proposal/pitch reviews
Commercial project design including design sessions with partners
Oversee Commercial project implementation, documenting best practice
Test and build a system project management flow to scale the implementation of commercial sector projects
Ensure the smooth integration of project quality and accountability standards into the daily work of PMs within the hub.

Product Consulting (40%)

Join weekly PM Unite calls to understand upcoming workflows planned by Product Managers
Work closely with the Product team to support and roll out the launch of products on-platform. This is determined by the Product’s quarterly OKRs.
Support the Product department by testing products/features and providing feedback before products/features rolled out to the entire implementation department
Be the point of contact for Viamo’s “Sell with Consultation” including but not limited to; Vouchers, Referrals, Projects needing APIs, Collaborative Filters, Issue Trackers, and Chatbots. This includes supporting on pitching/submission/budgeting/design of these products with Country managers/directors and making “go/no go” decisions

Team Management (20%)

Lead the planning, recruitment, selection, and training of PMs in the hub
Collaborate with Viamo’s Human Resources and the RD to ensure sound performance management and fair performance-based compensation.
Coach and manage PMs while providing access to high-quality learning opportunities, emphasizing career development.
Promote accountability, communicate expectations, and provide constructive feedback informally and formally via regular one-on-one and performance reviews.
Ensure that PMs are trained and proficient in using project management tools such as Wrike to improve project management efficiency.
Ensure the team culture is positive, transparent, and focused on staff wellbeing.
Analyze root causes of project issues to identify triggers for customer dissatisfaction and roll out mitigation measures, including service delivery training for PMs.

Regional Project Management Support (5%)

Work together with the regional HOIs, plan and manage the capacity of incoming projects from a variety of regions to ensure PMs ensure optimum resource utilization is achieved within the hub
Promote team learning by ensuring that project innovations and impact are analyzed, documented to contribute to learning, and effectively communicated internally.

Employee engagement scores of Program Managers

Team and Reporting Structure

Reports to the Director of Implementation Success
Line manages certain Program Managers and Senior Program Managers in the hub

Profile

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences. A Masters Degree in Development, Economics, or Management preferred
Minimum 7 years of project management experience with at least 3 years in a team management role in an international organization
Demonstrated strategic planning, staff development, and capacity-building experience.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects.
Languages: Professional proficiency in English (oral and written) is required.

Desirable

Excellent oral and written communication skills in the primary national language(s)
Demonstrated experience learning and onboarding staff in software programs and web applications
Advanced Excel skills
Project Management Certification like CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2 or PMDPro
Experience implementing USG-funded, or other projects funded by bilateral or multilateral organizations.
Experience with enterprise sales clients and metrics
