Job Description

This role will be managing the planning, technical support and installation stages of construction projects in line with McDermott procedures, drawings and documentation and that all jobs are carried out as per the Company’s operating standards. Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the construction manager and subcontractors. Conducting regular checks on materials, procedures and installations to ensure compliance with industry regulations, McDermott operating standards and project requirements. Successful candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas engineering & construction projects with practical experience working on civil, buildings and fit out works specifically blast proof buildings and technical rooms as Construction Supervision / Technical Services / Field Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Give Support the Technical Services manager, Construction Manager and construction supervision for the execution of the project
Review of execution plan and project documentation submitted by subcontractor
Working with other discipline tech services engineers for the installation works
Studying the preferred methods of foundation installation, structural erection and establishing erection/assembly sequence
Ensure erection and installation is complete and to project drawings and specifications
Resolution of technical issues raised by installation crews for Civil & Structural
Material review and approval to project specifications
Installation coordination and interface management between subcontractors and supporting construction supervisors
High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with Code of Business Conduct
Ensure that the National Content Plan is followed by all parties (McDermott and Subcontractors)
Completion coordination and tracing ready for commissioning activities
Supporting execution of works as required and activities requested by Construction / Tech Services Managers
Training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies, processes and procedures are communicated. As well as Oil and Gas construction processes and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Qualifications and Education:

Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical Degree)
Experience in construction of Technical and blast proof buildings on Oil and Gas projects
Advance proficiency in construction management software, In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations
Proficient computer skills – MS Office Suite
Experience in use of Technical Drawing software (AutoCAD,) and engineering design software
