Job Description
The responsibilities of the position are to be performed in accordance with the provisions of Acacia
‘Employment Contract’ & the ‘Terms of Service’.
Job Purpose
To carry out the duties of Athletics Director under the direction of the Head of School and
the Senior School Principal.
● To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education
and Christian witness
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Typically as the Athletics Director, you will be required to:
● Have experience of teaching across all ages including middle and high school.
● Have a love of the subject.
● Have a high regard for the learning environment and resources.

all students.
● Have the ability to inspire, engage and enthuse students.

● Observe and support all PE teachers and external coaches.
● Oversee all swimming rotas and coach schedules.
● Oversee and regularly review PE curriculum taught at primary and secondary.
● Oversee ISAAK and attend all ISAAK meetings.
● Procure new Sports equipment and keep quarterly inventory lists of all sports equipment on
both campuses.
● Plan and organise all Acacia sporting events, including Sports Day, Inter-house Football
and Basketball, and the Swim Gala.
● Facilitate all mandatory training for new coaches (Child Protection, First Aid)
