” Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Joshua 1:9
The call to leadership, excellence, and greatness is not for cowards and weaklings. Satan, the world and its system are too harsh for us to try to be beggarly and ignorant. Only the Strong and Tough will triumph. God instructed Joshua to be strong and to be of good courage, and obviously, because opposition was gonna knock at his door. David was anointed a king, but before he could sit on the throne, he had to face Goliath and prevail over Saul, who sought to kill him. David did not sit down waiting for Prophet Samuel’s prophetic word to come to pass. He stood up and pursued the fulfillment of the word.
Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 16:9 ” For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” With Great opportunities comes MANY adversaries and you are not to complain when you meet opposition. In verse 13 Apostle Paul said ” Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” He called the brethren to be like men and to be strong, and unmoved. The Lord Jesus said in Matt 18:7 , “Woe to the world because of stumbling blocks! It is necessary that stumbling blocks come, but woe to the person through whom they come.* So , it is a fact of life that stumbling blocks will come to anyone who is in pursuit of greatness but ” In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” If you gonna walk the path of glory you will of necessity have your Faith challenged, you will meet with opposition Now or Later but Don’t give up, Don’t give in, Don’t bow down because of pressure, A great man said, When the pressure is so much begin to boil.
Those who expect to float through life never succeed in anything of value. You have to dig dip and invest time and labor to enjoy life. Don’t expect success to come looking for you, elbow out every opposition, and walk in victory. You may not have the capital now, but sure enough, fight your way up until that money is in your hands. Keep talking the word, day and night.
