Inside Golden Insights: Give yourself to teaching

” And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.”
2 Cor 8:5

You can never successfully train and develop anyone who does not respect and submit to you. Anyone who does not respect or appreciate the calling or anointing upon a man or woman of God will not respect that anointed servant. The anointing that you respect you attract. Many people start churches out of rebellion, though in their hearts, they will have good intentions. No matter how big your vision is, learn to submit to the leadership God has placed you under. GIVE YOURSELF not only to GOD but to his servants to train you. To give yourself means to yield fully to their authority.

If your pastor demands that you come to church early, do so without asking stupid questions. I have seen many folks who act as though they know better the vision of the ministry than the man to whom the vision was given. Never fight your cell leader, department leader, your boss at work, your husband, or anybody who has authority over you. Many relationships crumble because those who ought to submit and learn become big headed. You can disagree with your husband yet be submissive. Let the one that leads you know that you are submissive to them. That’s the only way you will be assigned for great responsibilities.

I used to have a Pastor who loved me so much, if I made a single mistake he would say “Don’t ever come back to my church” but he said that knowing I had given myself to his leadership, he could rebuke me, and I wouldn’t speak a word to defend myself. When you give yourself to be trained, you will surely gain wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Have a teachable spirit and have respect for leaders. Don’t speak against a minister even if he is not from your church. He may be a choir leader, have respect for him, and submit to him. Don’t be the one always causing disunity. I don’t like preaching where I am not received, Jesus said ” But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But I say unto you that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.” Luke 10:10-12
