Inside Golden Insights: Faith in Trial

Faith in Trial

” Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:”
Heb 11:33-36

If you suppose you are going to go through life flying on beds of roses without meeting opposition, then you are deceiving yourself (Read Heb 11). Whereas opportunities abound, opposition is high, and some can come from the most unexpected place, from friends and loved ones. In 1 Cor 16:9, Apostle Paul said, “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” Doors of opportunities opened up for this man of God, but with opportunities came many adversaries.

Men of Faith are men who came to their end and were faced with the red sea but talked Faith. Giants in Faith are men who met giant trials and prevailed. Caleb and Joshua went into a land and saw giants for real, but they believed “no giants can prevail against men with God.” Caleb and Joshua voiced their Faith, it’s like saying, “I will never be broke when poverty is starring right on your face.” The severity of the problem should not define your faith, Jesus said concerning Lazarus, “This sickness is not unto death, ” but Lazarus died. His faith was challenged, but he didn’t say, “Oh, I thought the Faith thing works, but now I am sunk.” No, he confronted the opposition. Real faith for change will of necessity meet with trials.

Even if it were dead, we believe in God, who raises the dead. Even if there was no $1 in my pocket, I would say the same words of faith because I believe in God who created all things. I won’t talk defeat in the day I meet trials. You may not have eaten this morning because there is no food in your home but declare, “I do not lack any good thing.” You may be looking so poor, sick, and broke, but say, “The world is mine, I am creating jobs for my generation.”
