Inside Golden Insights: DILIGENCE: Pay attention to detail

” The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.”
Prov 12:27

Good things don’t fall on people like ripe cherries off a tree even to us who are of GRACE. That’s why Paul said to Timothy, ” Be strong in the grace that is IN CHRIST JESUS”. Whatever you are expecting from the LORD without being DILIGENT, your dreams may never come to fruition. It is frustrating to have great dreams and never fulfill them. Diligence refers to carefulness and preciseness, and it also means industrious, work, labor, and putting attention to something.

Our opening scripture shows us the reason for poverty for some folks, THEY DON’T GO HUNTING. They are not involved in PROFITABLE WORK. The Bible says, ” In all labour, there is profit”. Going to what you call work may not be LABORING. That’s possibly why you are making less money. I know people who have a job but don’t work. By this, I mean they don’t put any attention, investment, carefulness, or labor to their area of specialty. Even if you don’t own the business, if you are DILIGENT, you will be promoted. Study more about what you do and get knowledgeable so much that you know better even than the owner of the company. Soon enough, he will be inviting you to help him with your ideas.

Great ideas may not just fall on us. Sometimes, we have to study, and sometimes we have to spend time praying, meditating, or being schooled in class by the more informed. No matter how gifted you are, without DILIGENCE, you may not go far. Life pays off to the man who labors. There is always a hunting ground out there. Prov 22:13 says, “ The slothful man saith, there is a lion in the way.” In today’s language, the author says, “ The slothful man says there is recession I will not invest in any business”. I have seen that rich people wake up early, and the poor always wake up late. He that will not work, let him not eat.

Paul, being a preacher, said,” Even so hath the LORD ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.” 1 Cor 9:14 Preachers who don’t labor in ministry but are paid by their congregations are thieves. Andrew Wommack said,” If any ministry is not a blessing to you don’t send money to it.” Apart from the contributions of the saints, Paul even made tents to make extra money, and I surely believe he made excellent tents. Be excellent, and you will be rewarded accordingly.
