” And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;”
Mark 16:17
For any believer to claim they CANT cast out devils or Speak in tongues will be labeling Jesus a liar according to Mark 16:17. We are not told that we should queue up and have demons cast out of us. Instead, we are commanded to cast out devils. You dont have to be an Apostle,Prophet, or Pastor to be able to do that. It is the power of the name of Jesus that drives out demons, and every believer is called to live in that name and exercise authority in that name. Some folks talk of having spiritual attacks where demonic powers hold them bound, and such experiences are not inconsistent with the word.
Col 1:12-13 says ” Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” We are not under the power of Satan,we are not victims but in all these things we are more than conquorers through Christ. We dont require deliverance from Satan because we are masters over Satan, but wherever these truths are not taught,believed, and embraced ; folks find themselves victims to the things they have victory over. Jesus said, ” And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make u free.” Until people get to know the truth,the truth remains the truth, but they won’t see freedom. In John 17:17, Jesus said, ” Thy word is truth.” What the word says about our dominion over Satan is more true than your feelings.
It’s really embarrassing to see anybody who claims to have the life of Jesus Christ,manifesting a demon. We shouldn’t reasonably house in both God and demons inside us. John said, ” Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” In his mind, Satan was in the world and not inside the believers. Believing in Jesus has given us a place in God where we are seated with Christ, and the biggest devil is subject to us. We have power over the devil,nomatter its from under the sea or from the grave. Whether it be witchcraft or magic, we have power over it. Stop looking for people to deliver you, recognise that IN CHRIST, you have deliverance and confess the reality that you believe.
