Welthungerhilfe (WHH) has a vision of a world in which everyone can lead a self-determined life in dignity and justice, free from hunger and poverty. Hunger is the biggest solvable problem in the world. WHH wants to do all it can to find a lasting solution to this problem. “ZeroHunger by 2030“ – this is the clear goal for the organisation with reference to the Sustainable Development Goals defined in its strategy.
More and more people want to donate not only for one disaster or one project. They want more: give more, achieve greater things, work longer. They want to create something lasting for posterity. Something that does good beyond their own lives. And many want to do this together with Welthungerhilfe (WHH) in order to give people the chance to live free from hunger and poverty.
For a Life Full of Confidence and Trust
The association Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e. V. therefore decided in 1998 to set up an independent foundation. With this legal form it is possible to preserve the assets of our founders permanently and to use the proceeds for the association’s project work.
And this is important: thanks to the income from the foundation capital, WHH can better plan its work. In this way, we can calculate better and help people help themselves in our projects.
