The MEAL Manager will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and oversight of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities within SADO. They will ensure that project outcomes are effectively measured, learning is integrated into programming, and accountability mechanisms are in place to enhance program quality and impact.

Work & Experience
o Developed and implemented MEL systems aligned with the country strategic plan, including MEL plans, indicator performance tracking tools, monitoring tools, and data collection templates to effectively measure USAID/Local Priorities and Partnership Activity (USAID/LPPA) results and investment impact. o Established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data management (data collection process, analysis , learning sharing and reporting) and databases o Led routine monitoring efforts, including Quarterly Activity Quality Reviews, Data Quality Assessments (DQA), and learning sessions, providing actionable insights for continuous program improvement. o Prepared and disseminated user-friendly reports, data visualizations, and quarterly and annual reports to enhance stakeholder engagement and decision-making. o Spearheaded the implementation of the Collaborative Learning & Adaptive (CLA) approach, fostering adaptive management and program refinement. o Led baseline evaluation, ensuring methodological rigor and adherence to ethical standards. o Strengthened MEL capacity by providing training, technical support, and mentorship, improving field monitoring and overall MEAL effectiveness under USAID/LPPA.
Supported projects funded by WFP, UNICEF, USAID, Government of ; Norway, Japan, Netherland, and South and North KOREA and Denmark (Health, education, child protection, livelihood and ICT project ) o Developed and integrated MEAL plans, tracking tools, and data collection systems for 19 projects, which streamlined data collection processes and improved monitoring efficiency leading to monitoring accuracy and reduction in data collection timeline. o Engaged with project teams regularly improving the adoption rate of MEAL-driven recommendations. This was achieved by conducting feedback loops, regular training sessions, and aligning MEAL activities with project goals. o Provided training and mentorship to over 200 organization and partners staff focusing on improving MEAL systems and capacity. o Led five baseline and four end-line evaluations, using rigorous design, participatory data collection methods, and ethical compliance these led to improvement in project outcomes and identified gaps and opportunities for improvement. o Contributed to business development by actively participating in proposal development, expanding the region’s projects from 12 to 19. This effort secured funding for five new initiatives, directly benefiting over 50,000 beneficiaries through increased project coverage and services. o Improved data visualization and reporting tools, this enabled faster identification of implementation challenges. This helped teams respond to challenges in real-time, ensuring that program implementation stayed on track. o Conducted regular field visits to monitor activity implementation and verify data quality
(Supporting ;Education, livelihood and Health activities ) o Developed and implemented AMELP Plans, data collection tools, and SOPs for data management. o Conducted Data Quality Assessments (DQA) and participated in external DQA reviews. o Developed data visualization dashboards for monitoring progress and reporting. o Trained over 60 staff on MEL systems, improving data collection and reporting efficiency. o Led documentation of lessons learned and organized learning events for knowledge sharing. o Updated the Health Management information systems (HMIS) and DHIS2 regularly o Trained staff on learning process and tool
