Key Roles and Responsibilities 1. Research Design & Implementation o Develop research proposals, study designs, and data collection tools. o Conduct literature reviews to support research projects. o Ensure ethical approval processes are followed. 2. Data Collection & Management o Supervise and participate in field data collection activities. o Ensure data quality through validation and verification processes. o Maintain accurate records of research activities and findings. 3. Data Analysis & Reporting o Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using statistical software (e.g., Stata, SPSS, R). o Interpret research findings and generate reports, manuscripts, and policy briefs. o Contribute to scientific publications and presentations. 4. Project Coordination & Monitoring o Oversee research project timelines and deliverables. o Coordinate with stakeholders, including funders, policymakers, and field teams. o Monitor compliance with research protocols and regulatory requirements. 5. Capacity Building & Training o Train data collectors, research assistants, and junior staff on research methodologies. o Support mentorship of interns and students in research activities. 6. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration o Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, and partners involved in health research. o Present research findings at conferences and stakeholder meetings. 7. Grant Writing & Resource Mobilization o Contribute to proposal writing for research funding

Roles & Responsibilities  Determine data needed to be collected and the appropriate data for specific health data department.  Formulate implements and enforce proper data collection policies and procedures.  Establishes data quality standards and work with reporting departments to ensure standards are met.  Carry out surveys for facility partners such as Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau and give meaningful decision based on the results.  Formulation of performance indicators.  HMIS Officer.
