Work & Experience
• Daily monitoring of all the schools including ECDs, primary schools, secondary schools within Kyaka II refugee settlement. • Work in close cooperation with the relevant local authorities, community leaders, relevant civil society and non-governmental organization collaborating, implementing partners and stakeholders where appropriate to achieve the project objectives and facilitate project implementation. • Closely work with and support project stakeholders including: ECD Care givers/facilitators/ teachers, primary school teachers, community centers, community leaders, non-formal Centre facilitators, social workers, facilitators of accelerated education programs and of course children in the target age group. • Managed education by ensuring that out of school children are enrolled back to school through working with relevant stakeholders like DEOs, DIS, CCTs, SMCs, PTAs, RWCS. • Mobilize and educate parents and community members to participate in project interventions within the ECD centers, Primary Schools, and Secondary schools. • Responsible for supporting implementation of Playful Futures Project activities in Early Childhood Development Centers and Primary schools. • Distribution of MHM, scholastic materials to learners in primary schools, Secondary schools and play kits containing materials to help foster play such as storybooks and supplies to create teaching and learning tools in ECDs. • Support project interventions that prepare caregivers to interact playfully and positively with their children and to care for their own well-being, accompanied by a Play at Home Library with activities for caregivers and children to do together. • Manage and maintain project records especially enrolment/ attendance registers and equipment inventories. • Support the documentation and sharing of learning, knowledge and experience generated from Finn Church Aid Uganda’s project interventions as widely as possible. • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to the project Manager. • Support consultants or Resource persons hired to provide various services.
• Monitoring and evaluating both teacher’s and student’s performance. • Chairing the heads of department’s meeting • Advising and supporting head teachers in evaluating, coordinating, and developing the school curriculum and academic standards. • Coordinating and monitoring peer to peer lesson observation • Collaborating with the heads of department, bursar, and head teacher in establishing the school resources and budgets • Drawing school annual timetable and class sitting arrangement with the heads of department and the head teacher • Participating in the appraisal process of teachers.
