About Company
The International Tree Foundation (ITF) is a charity that works to protect,
promote, and plant trees and the communities they support around the
world. ITF is looking for board trustees who are passionate about trees
and who have a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, with a
particular interest in African environmental work, especially in Uganda and
Kenya. As the oldest international tree planting charity in the world, ITF
has a long history of working with communities to grow trees and restore
and conserve forests.
ITF is concerned with the multiple benefits of restoration – for both people and
planet. ITF knows that the relationship between people and forests determines
the success of its work. That’s why ITF is a community-led organisation. Meaning
that the people whose livelihoods depend upon local forests are the people are
at the heart of our work.
