About Company
he founders, Mrs. Vandana Dhariwal and Mr. Rajnish Jain, decided to scale up their microfinance business towards their mission and vision of impactful financing. They later upgraded to a Microfinance Deposit-Taking Institution (MDI) license in 2015. With their success as an MDI, the Bank of Uganda (BOU) upgraded them to a Tier II (Credit Institution) license in 2020. The assets and liabilities of Yako Microfinance (MDI) were transferred to Yako Bank at its inception.
Yako Bank (U) Limited is located in Kampala with its head office at Forest Mall Lugogo with branches at Raja Chambers on Parliament Avenue and in Jinja on Main Street.
