Job Description
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any other related field. A professional certification like (CCNA, MSCE, etc.) is an added advantage.
2. Must have at least two (2) years of working experience in a similar role
3. Should demonstrate practical IT skills in areas like Windows Operating Systems and Linux Operating Systems
4. Administration-level skills for at least two (2) years with server operating systems
5. Must be willing to be called upon to serve during non-conventional working hours
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Sets up and configures desktop computers, peripherals, and accounts assigning security level;
2. Installs software and installs and repairs hardware and peripherals;
3. Tests programs and new technology;
4. Set up accounts, and workstations and monitor the performance of the Alpha MIS;
5. Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies and added functionalities in the Alpha MIS;
6. Provide ICT support to all UCU users in response to raised trouble tickets;
7. Carry out all preventive maintenance work for all University computers and associated office equipment;
8. Maintains systems, databases, and web pages;
9. Administers user accounts;
10. Designs, produces, and stores proper technical records of all repair, support work, and spares usage and provides timely feedback on these activities to the Senior Network Administrator;
11. Assist with any ICT-related installation works as may be required from time to time;
12. Be willing to travel to all UCU campuses when called upon;
13. Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisors.
