” For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.”
John 17:8
The father sent Jesus with nothing but words and the Holy Spirit. He qualified these two to be perfect enough to deal with anything. Jesus was anointed of the Holy Ghost, the only instrument he used to transform lives was his word. He never had some stones, water, oil, soda, or any material from God through which he changed lives. His words healed the sick, opened blind eyes, made the lame to walk, and raised the dead. Through words, he multiplied bread and fish. In his prayer to the father, he said he had given us the very words of God. Now that’s very remarkable, he didn’t say I have given them houses, cars, or medicine. He boasted about giving us the words of God, why?
Psalms 107:19-20 says ” Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” God’s instrument for transformation is hid word. Nomatter how troubled you are, God’s answer and solution is to send you his word. Whenever you meet a man sent from God, never look to him for material things. Hear the message and through that message you will have. It’s through the word that you are healed, you however have a choice to receive the word or to reject the word. In 1 Thessalonians 2:13 the Apostle said ” For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.” The people in Thessalonica received something from Paul, they received the word. Some folks leave church with bottles of water but never having received the word, this is not God’s desire for you.
If you are struggling with cancer, asthma, diabetes, or any kind of sickness or infirmity, what you need is the word. Acts 19:20 says ” so mightily grew the word of God and it prevailed” The word will prevail if you let it grow in you. The question then is how do you let the word grow in you?
